Lawns and Play Areas

A soft, child and pet-friendly, multi-purpose surface that can be used by all members of the family, year-round.

Putting Greens

Poolside Turf

Decorative turf placed between travertine or porcelain pavers can enhance clean lines and accentuate stepping pads.

Turf for Pets

We have pet turf that can be placed in the yard or in smaller areas like patios, decks, and balconies. Infill, the small bead-like material (or sand) that keeps the grass upright and natural looking, is treated with Zeo-Fill, a deodorizer designed to minimize pet odors.

Engineeredfor Desert Performance

UV resistance artificial grass looks like and performs like natural grass, but without the watering and maintenance required of real grass. We install turf that is designed for its durability, real grass look and longevity. Additionally, the face of the turf has unique “S,” “V,” and“W” shaped blades that make it look realistic, and also helps improve air flow (great for cooling).

Temperature Technology

Cool Turf Technology is available and is typically 15% cooler than screened rock, stone patios, and concrete. Turf can also be cooled by quickly spraying it with a hose or sprinkler system. A quick spray with the hose works well is because of a product called Zeo-Fill, which slowly releases moisture to help the turf stay cool longer

Drainage

The turf which has a permeable backing with small drainage holes is placed on a decomposed granite base that assists with water percolation below the turf. Water from the house can be controlled with gutters and downspouts to help move water away from turf areas. We can even connect the downspouts to underground drainpipe making water removal from the turf area more efficient.

UV Stability and Longevity

All turf is UV-resistant and designed to reduce fading over the long term. In higher foot traffic areas the turf is expected to last at 10 years or more and lower traffic areas may exceed 15 years.

Seams and Edges

We can install the turf in any size needed, from a small play area to larger field. Turf typically is delivered in rolls that are 15’ wide. With small areas we can usually get by with 1-15’ wide roll, thereby eliminating any seams and reducing waste (lowering cost). On larger turf areas or on custom shaped we will have seams and the first step in hiding artificial grass seams is to ensure that the grain direction of all pieces of turf is facing the same way. Then, trim the grass edges to match and adhere them together with seamtape.

Materials and Infill Options

We offer turf that looks realistic and easily cleaned.

Turf pile heights are 1.25″–1.875” for lawns and play and 0.625″for putting surfaces. Fiber blends and polyethylene blades with texturized thatch for support, rebound and realism. Perforated backings that are multi-layered for strength and fast drainage. Infill choices, anti-microbial/odor-control infill (pets), coated blends for heat mitigation and odor control (like Zeo-Fill). Edging around the turf locks in the base material, turf and fringe, and can include an existing patio or pool, a new mortar set border or metal edging

Integrated With Your Outdoor Living Plan

Turf areas are integrated into the landscape design and installed as the final piece to your project, after the landscape, pool and spa has been installed.

Our Turf Installation Process

- A Project Coordinator manages access, materials, and the schedule from start to finishand includes.

- Site review, layout, and access to the work area
- If needed, we install underground sleeving or conduit for lighting wire, irrigation lines and electric service to other areas of the yard
- We install the border material to enclose the turf area
- Then we excavate native soil as required and install and compact the decomposed granite base and grade the turf area
- Turf installation with the required seaming, fastening, infill application and fiber grooming
- Final walkthrough with Owner

Artificial Turf Cost

Turf costs are primarily determined by the size of the turf area and the quality of the turf installed. Another major consideration is the design and layout, as a rectilinear area costs less than an organic shape where there is a significant amount of waste material. Putting green prices are affected by the same variables. The turf is always enclosed with a border, and a metal edge isusually less expensive than a mortar set paver or travertine border.

Maintenance and Warranty

Maintenance is simple: occasional brushing to lift fibers, leaf and debris removal, and periodic rinsing—especially for pets. You’ll receive manufacturer product warranties and a workmanship warranty on installation.

Optional Add-Ons

Customize your project with selected upgrades.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a landscape design cost?

Designconsultations are free. Pool designs—and pool designs that include landscape—aretypically free. Stand-alone landscape designs may incur a nominal design feebased on scope. While landscape design fees can catch clients off guard, theyare critical to making sure the plan is buildable, bid properly, and that the crewsknow what to install. These highly detailed plans are also used for permitting, engineering (when required), and HOA and DRC submittals.

Can you help with pool and spa designs?

Yes— we specialize in turnkey landscape and pool design-build, with one point ofcontact for design and one for construction. Our team integrates pools, spas, and patios into a cohesive plan that looks intentional. Planning the entireproject from the beginning makes sure nothing is overlooked, installation isdone in the most efficient sequence, and, if the project is phased, rework islimited.

How long does the design process take?

Landscapedesigns typically take 2–4 weeks; pool designs can be completed in about fivebusiness days. While most people view the pool as the more complicated element, the detail in the landscape plan is what ties the entire project togethercohesively, and why it takes more time.

What happens if I want to make a revision?

Revisions are a normal part of the design process. Many times, what sounds good in conversation has a much different feel on paper. This is why the design process is so important to a successful project.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is artificial turf safe for pets?

Yes. The artificial grass sold today is made from non-toxic, pet-safe materials like polyethylene or polypropylene, similar to what’s used in food containers. These materials don’t pose health risks and are often labeled lead-free and pet-friendly. In fact, artificial grass is designed to be durable, weather-resistant, and easy to clean—making it a great choice for pet owners who want a yard that’s both safe and comfortable for dogs.

Does turf require maintenance?

Yes, but minimal maintenance. Remove the leaf debris by hand or with a blower, and rinse high-use or pet areas as needed to keep turf fresh. Pet deodorizer can be added occasionally to minimize pet odors.

How long will artificial turf last?

Quality turf typically lasts 10–15 years with proper installation and care.

Can you combine turf with pavers or plants?

Absolutely. We specialize in custom, turnkey pool, landscape, and hardscape design and installation. So, any combination of turf, pavers, plants, and other outdoor features can be designed and installed.

Do you install putting greens?

Yes. We build custom greens with cups, fringe, and chipping areas tailored to your practice goals and level of experience.
